Dr. Katie Frey received her B.A. in Criminal Justice and Political Science and her M.A. in Criminal Justice at the University of Albany, SUNY. She received her Ph.D. in Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Maryland College Park. Dr. Frey has published research in both the criminology and criminal justice realms. Her research focuses on prisons, theory testing, and ways to reduce the prison population. She has published with students at John Carroll in different journals. Dr. Frey has expertise in corrections, policing, criminological theories, victimology, the death penalty, and quantitative methods.聽
