Federalwide Assurance:
°ÅÀÖ´óÈË°æappÔ¼ÅÚ has a Federalwide Assurance (FWA) with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) for the protection of human research subjects. Through the terms of the FWA, °ÅÀÖ´óÈË°æappÔ¼ÅÚ commits to DHHS that it will comply with the requirements found in the DHHS Protection of Human Subjects regulations at .
The FWA covers all non-exempt human subjects research submitted at °ÅÀÖ´óÈË°æappÔ¼ÅÚ that is conducted or supported by DHHS, or funded by any other federal agency. However, °ÅÀÖ´óÈË°æappÔ¼ÅÚ voluntarily extends its FWA to cover all human subject research, regardless of the source of funding, including human subject research conducted by °ÅÀÖ´óÈË°æappÔ¼ÅÚ students.
°ÅÀÖ´óÈË°æappÔ¼ÅÚ will also extend its FWA to cover human subject research conducted by external research partners with whom °ÅÀÖ´óÈË°æappÔ¼ÅÚ has established an agreement. See External Research Partners for more information.
